Schedule Is A Little Off

This picture will continue to be the header of my blog until I'm able to establish some better habits. I originally wrote "good habits" but I'm trying to stay away from negativity - so things are not "bad" vs "good". How about good vs better for positivity !

Today was supposed to be my "official" Nutrisystem restart. I've decided to delay since I have half a pizza and a bit of cheese danish to eat - remnants of my Saturday grocery run. That's not to say that my eating has been off the charts. I'm trying to get back to 100% compliance. I'm moving the official start to 02-01-24 but after today I'll be eating within the Nutrisystem guidelines. I'll have a couple days to settle in !

I didn't stuff myself yesterday but I ate more than I probably should have. Breakfast was cheese danish and later a breakfast sandwich. Morning snack/lunch/afternoon snack was 1/2 a pizza. Dinner was a Nutrisystem chicken enchilada with some roasted carrots. Dessert was a cherry pie. When I went to bed I had some Ghirardelli chocolates.

After spending the weekend planning and moving towards acceptance .. an email from a co-worker located at the office we are to report to blasted us all out of the water. It seems the space is "shabby" (unoccupied since the 90s), has some "dangers", has "at least one" working stall in the men's and ladies rooms and the only amenity is a fridge. If that wasn't bad enough - there is NO network access. They use their cell phones to access the network. I'm assuming they are company issued phones. No fucking way am I using my personal phone as a hotspot for work !!!! I doubt a hotspot could support all of the applications we use, so that is an issue. I have 100M internet at home and I doubt a hot spot is going to give me that kind of speed. There is also no parking, which I expected, but there is a lot close by that offers monthly parking. Needless to say, I don't see us moving in by "mid-February". There is also the fact that they need to dig up equipment, such as dual monitor setups and docking stations for our laptops  (or desktop computers). That would need to be shipped from another site and then set up by someone. We'd also need a microwave. Best case scenario would be letting us continue to work from home. Second best would be delaying our return a few more weeks (or months!). As much as I'd like to find a work from home job, the prospects are limited for me. I don't have a college degree and my skill set is pretty specialized. I'd be a great employee but employers seem to set the bar pretty high. They want you to know everything before you start. I guess the days of training your employees are gone. At this point I just have to have faith that it will all work out. I didn't get much work done today because of the upset that email caused.

From a food perspective, it's a good thing I didn't have much "junk" in the house or I'd have spent the day eating it. I finished the pizza and cheese danish today, so there is not much else "bad" stuff in the house. Dinner was roasted carrots and turkey with mashed potatoes. Dessert was a chocolate cupcake with whipped cream.
