Day 24: Fighting Back

 





This picture will continue to be the header of my blog until I'm able to establish some better habits. I originally wrote "good habits" but I'm trying to stay away from negativity - so things are not "bad" vs "good". How about good vs better for positivity ! I think this daily reminder is helping as I've been able to start getting things done!


Yesterday was not much better than Thursday. Abby continued to turn her nose up at food and was restless all day. I didn't finish my blog as my primary focus was trying to get Abby to eat whatever I could. I got through the work day and was productive, but I'm kind of glad things are still a little slow! I was able to help my boss out with something she likely would have spent half her weekend working on! Monday I will find out what kind of bonus and raise I'm getting, along with my overall rating. My rating last year was as high as they go and I'm just hoping I've maintained that. I slept on the couch again last night but didn't get much sleep. Abby was crying to eat at 5 (or 6, I can't remember) so I got up and fed her before settling back down to get some more sleep. I was up for the day at 7 and got the outdoor cats fed. It was 11 or 12 degrees out, I can't remember the exact number. Whatever it was, it was freezing!


So how is Abby today? She is eating better today! She had her super early breakfast of canned food, then baby food around 8 (more than half the jar) and around 11:30 she started working on another can of food. She ate more this morning than she's eaten in the past 2 days, so she must be feeling better. I've been stress eating a bit. Pop Tarts and last night a pile of Tootsie Rolls. I also had some almonds, but ended up tossing those because they're old and I think they're rancid. They did not smell good and when I thought about it, they've probably been sitting out on the counter for over a year. They were in a sealed container but they're only going to stay fresh for so long. I have a fresh package of them, along with a big tub of cashews if I want nuts again anytime soon.


Breakfast today was Pop Tarts early, then Nutrisystem waffles with sugar free syrup. Late morning I had a yogurt. 


I opted not to go to the grocery store today because it was so cold. It's going up to 45 tomorrow so it'll be a better day to be out and about!
