Day 36: Doubling Down







This picture will continue to be the header of my blog until I'm able to establish some better habits. I originally wrote "good habits" but I'm trying to stay away from negativity - so things are not "bad" vs "good". How about good vs better for positivity ! I think this daily reminder is helping as I've been able to start getting things done!


Today is Day 36 and I am determined, yet again, to get myself back on track with diet and exercise.


Breakfast was 150 calorie pancakes with sugar free syrup and an 80 calorie yogurt. Late morning snack was a bowl of pretzels. Lunch was a 220 calorie pepperoni pizza melt and a chef salad. Afternoon was 80 calorie cottage cheese and 90 calorie Alyssa's cookies.


I was awake early today but was able to go back to sleep until the alarm went off at 7. I was up before 7:10 and got all the stray cats fed. There were 6 of them waiting for me today! There is a total of 6 that I see on a regular basis and 2 others that show up occasionally. I don't usually see so many all at once, so I guess they were hungry. I do put a large bowl of dry food out every day, so it's not like they didn't have anything to eat. I'm sure they prefer the canned food, most cats do.


I managed to force myself onto the treadmill during lunch! I didn't want to exercise but I made myself do it, and I'm glad I did! I completed 29m56s and didn't change any of the settings, including incline! I did hold onto the bars for more than half of the workout. It was either that or slow it down. When I first started using the treadmill back in 2019 I always held onto the bars.
