Day 40: Zero Progress

This picture will continue to be the header of my blog until I'm able to establish some better habits. I originally wrote "good habits" but I'm trying to stay away from negativity - so things are not "bad" vs "good". How about good vs better for positivity ! I think this daily reminder is helping as I've been able to start getting things done!

Today is Day 40 and it was 32 degrees when I got up! We got barely an inch of snow overnight, so this was another "storm" that didn't come to pass!

Breakfast was 150 calorie pancakes with sugar free syrup and an 80 calorie yogurt. Late morning I had some Irish Soda Bread. I bought 2 loaves Saturday and this was the start of loaf #2 😬

After a weekend of excess, I was ready to get back on track today. However, when noon rolled around I did not feel like getting on the treadmill. I decided to throw some veggies in the oven to roast, get a salad prepared and wash up the plastic ware in the sink. I also cleaned out the litter boxes as it's been a couple days. I resolved for the 1,359,272 time to get on the treadmill after work. Well, that didn't happen.

What was my weekend excess? Well, I had a cheddar & jalapeno burger on Saturday and Sunday. Not the end of the world since I didn't have morning snacks or afternoon snacks. I also had potato chips and that loaf of soda bread. I'm also working my way through the candy I bought. Today was back to Nutrisystem food and veggies, though I did have soda bread and the remains of the bag of potato chips. I'm proud of myself for buying a SMALL bag of chips, instead of the "party size"! Shocking that an 8 ounce bag of Lay's was $4.99!

We had some sun today but it was cold and very windy. I went outside to grab a garbage bin that was in the middle of the street and the wind cut right through you. The bin might belong to the a-hole next door that is too lazy to put them away after trash pickup, so I put it in front of the apartment building across the street .. lol! Let them figure out where it went.

My new Keurig came today and I wish I had gone ahead and bought the current model, which was only $10 more. The new one "looks" like my old one but it doesn't have the water filter and seems to be louder. It's possible it seems loud because my old one might have been failing for a while. I will say the coffee seemed hotter and perhaps a bit more flavorful. I do like the color! I suspect it won't last as long as my old one, which I bought in 2018, so I'll upgrade to a fancier model when the time comes.
