Day 44: TGIF !

 





This picture will continue to be the header of my blog until I'm able to establish some better habits. I originally wrote "good habits" but I'm trying to stay away from negativity - so things are not "bad" vs "good". How about good vs better for positivity ! I've been up and down but I'm not giving up!


Today is Day 44 and it's been 2 weeks since Abby passed in my arms. She was unresponsive when I found her that morning, but I hope she knew I was there to comfort her.


Breakfast was 160 calorie waffles with sugar free syrup and an 80 calorie yogurt.


It's Friday and I made a vow to myself to put extra effort towards having a better day. That means treadmill at noon and a shower, skincare and teeth brushed before bed. It's a simple ask! Bonus goal is vitamins and more water intake! I didn't make it to the treadmill at noon but I didn't spend the time sitting on my butt. I threw some veggies in the oven to roast, made my salad, had my shake and removed some clothing from the office closet. Stuff that I can't wear right now will be moved upstairs. This will make it easier to sort through the rest of the stuff in the closet and use the space more wisely. My plan, as of 12:43 pm, was to get on the treadmill after work!


Work remains slow but I picked up some things to work on this morning and my boss let me know a large project may be coming my way, so that was good news! We had a monthly call at 10:30 that ran into my lunch hour and I let that keep me from getting on the treadmill, even though I was dressed, had my shoes on and had my shake made! Truth is, I just am not feeling the treadmill. I moved the couch into it's usual position last night and the plan for tonight is to set up the Total Gym! I firmly believe a lot of my hip and knee aches and pains are due to lack of mobility and using the Total Gym for squats will go a long way towards loosening up and strengthening my leg muscles. It's super easy to hop on the TG and do squats in front of the tv.
